FLEXlm error "No server for this feature"

Q: I'm using Optima on a new system, and when I try to select my new workspace I get this error in a dialogue box:

Could not check out a FLEXlm license for OSE System Profiler plugin
(com.ose.prof.ui)

Reason:
No server for this feature(-3,121)

Invoking the FLEXlm license manager on the command line gives a similar error:

14:26:47 (lmgrd) License file(s): c:\OSE\OPTIMA2.3\license.dat
14:26:47 (lmgrd) lmgrd tcp-port 744
14:26:47 (lmgrd) Starting vendor daemons ...
14:26:47 (lmgrd) Started osedaemon (pid 5568)
14:26:52 (lmgrd) osedaemon exited with status 27 (No features to serve)
14:26:52 (lmgrd) osedaemon daemon found no features. Please correct
14:26:52 (lmgrd) license file and re-start daemons.
14:26:52 (lmgrd)
14:26:52 (lmgrd) This may be due to the fact that you are using
14:26:52 (lmgrd) a different license file from the one you expect.
14:26:52 (lmgrd) Check to make sure that:
14:26:52 (lmgrd) c:\OSE\OPTIMA2.3\license.dat
14:26:52 (lmgrd) is the license file you want to use.

A: There are a couple of possibilities for the license server giving this type of error:

- The license you have does not have the feature desired, in this case the Profiler
- The license you have was not generated for the host that you are trying to use it with (for node-locked licenses).
